Part 1
I see a common thread with believers, we are so compelled to share the gospel and His love, that often we do the “commandment” of sharing Him. We are very empty and lacking the most important principle, that is the principle of personal love and forgiveness. We as believers are often hurting and struggling and we first must realize that we should be filled, healed and accept His love for us! If we are going to be a contagious believer. Proving that His Love, never ends!
The simple hymn, “Jesus Loves Me,” summarizes the basic message of Christianity. The song reminds us of five important truths that help us grow into maturity by finding our peace and security in Jesus.
“Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak, but He is strong!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.”
1. When I know that I am loved by Jesus, I am drawn to Him.
2. When the conviction that He loves me is based on what the Bible says, rather than my feelings, I will be able to experience inner peace and security, no matter what circumstances I am in.
3. When I understand that I belong to Jesus because He created and redeemed me, I am free to serve Him out of love and appreciation, rather than out of fear of punishment or a desire to earn His favor.
4. When I remember that I am weak and helpless to do anything good on my own, I will remain humble and dependent upon Him.
5. When I remember that He is strong and has already conquered the enemy, I am free to live without fear, trusting in His power and providence every day.
Paul in the majority of his writings was urging us as believers to be so “rooted and grounded” in the love of Christ that we may want to “be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Ephesians 3:17-19
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Knowing how true, real and unlimited His love is for us. Allows, each one of us to live out His true love in every aspect of our life. In our homes, marriages, jobs, ministries and social life. Proving that His love is never ending. How am I, living His love out, in every aspect of my life? Or am I holding onto hurts, unforgiveness or pain that stops His love from living through me?
Prayer… Father, help me to know, understand and embrace your love everyday. So that I may prove that Your unconditional love is all I need to fill every aspect of my life.
