“I believe that no one should live their life without hope. To me, there are no hopeless situations.”
As a child, my mom always told me I was her bright spot in dark circumstances. As mother and daughter, our life story has had a ton of darkness, but a whole lot of light. Light always brings hope, and as my Pastor during my college days used to say, “Where there is life, there is hope.” (Bishop Wayne Pense) Now as I am entering my 50’s, I can truly say, I have lived in some interesting, life-challenging situations. But in all of that ‘life’ I have truly found HOPE!
My husband and I have served in ministry since 1993. We have been Lead Pastors, Youth & Children’s Pastors and volunteered in various other capacities for 24 years. Currently, my husband serves as a Regional Bishop for the Church of God of Prophecy in Ohio and West Virginia. I serve along side him in a Administrative role as well as lead a Women’s Ministries for our two states. I love to sing, play piano, decorate and craft. Reading is my passion and sharing God’s word is my mandate. Over time I have developed the great privilege of mentoring and releasing several young women in ministry. The theme of my ministry in every season of going where He has sent us, has been to help the broken, addicted and the abused to recover. Celebrate Recovery, support groups and women’s half-way houses are places that I usually feel right at home in. I am passionate about hope, because I believe that no one should live their life without hope. To me, there are no hopeless situations.
In 2017, I found myself physically at the heaviest I had ever been. We had been through several changes, loosing loved ones and tons of stress that caused me to lean to sugary foods to comfort me. I made a decision to get healthy that year and lost 45lbs in 6months! Now, I help others recapture their health, it just comes natural to offer hope in mind, soul and body.
I am honored and blessed to be married to my teenage sweetheart, we celebrate 31 years soon. And, we have 3 children, I often say they raised me lol. Now, my littles are grown and married and we have 1 grandbaby! It occurred to me recently that I had been filling up my prayer journals and diary’s for years. It was time to organize those thoughts, memories and stories and share them with others. If you are inspired by my life experiences, please let me know! I hope you find hope, here.
With Love!
